Latanowich Sentenced To More Jail Time For Inmate Attack

More jail time for Thomas Latanowich - the man convicted of second degree murder in August for the 2018 shooting death of Yarmouth Police Sgt. Sean Gannon.

He was convicted yesterday of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon stemming from an attack on an inmate in 2018.

DA Michael O’Keefe says Latanowich attacked a fellow Barnstable County inmate while awaiting his murder trial.

O’Keefe says Latanowich “partially severed” the man’s ear off.

Judge Elaine Buckley sentenced him to an additional 9-12 years on top of his life sentence.
