AG Finds Barnstable County Officials Violated Open Meeting Law

The State Attorney General’s office has found the Barnstable County Board of Regional Commissioners violated parts of the open-meeting law.

The AG found during an October 13th meeting one member failed to state that no other person was present during a video executive session.

In addition, the AG found that the board failed to review its outstanding executive session minutes at reasonable intervals.

A complaint filed by former County Commissioner Ron Beaty sparked the investigation.
