The Cape Cod National Seashore is taking several approaches to combat erosion at beaches.
Superintendent Brian Carlstrom said they're focused on retreating and rebuilding as the sea level continues to rise.
Officials are starting to plan long-term solutions to fight active erosion at Coast Guard Beach areas, including moving structures further away from the coast.
Carlstrom added that the National Seashore has the "richest datasets of coastal monitoring for erosion rates anywhere in the world."
