Governor Baker Signs Nero's Bill Into Law

Governor Charlie Baker has signed "Nero's Bill" into law.

It’s named after the Yarmouth Police K-9 who was shot and injured the same day Yarmouth Police Sgt. Sean Gannon was killed in 2018.

State Rep. and former Yarmouth Deputy Police Chief Steve Xiarhos was filed the legislation.

It will allow police K-9's hurt in the line of duty to receive emergency medical treatment.
