Barnstable Police are investigating an early morning domestic violence incident.
A woman called 9-1-1 around 2 a.m. to report that a man stabbed her in the hand and leg.
She was in stable condition when a Hyannis Fire Department ambulance transported her to Cape Cod Hospital.
Police then took the man into custody, who had also been stabbed.
He expressed that police always believe the woman's version of the story, but a female officer on the scene assured him that the investigation is ongoing.
