Charges Not Filed In Falmouth Hospital Fentanyl Scare

Charges are not being filed against the man who was in possession of Fentanyl in the emergency room at Falmouth hospital last Thursday.

Some staff and first responders were treated for exposure to the dangerous drug when they struggled with the combative man.

The ER was closed for five hours while a hazmat team decontaminated the area.

The Falmouth Enterprise reports police are not pressing charges because the man had overdosed, and a person seeking medical aid for an overdose cannot be charged for possession.
