Police investigating the December 8th shooting of Eric Christensen in Hyannis used cellphone location and data records to help identify Justin Peckham, of Boston as a suspect.
The Cape Cod Times reports that investigators used cellphone data records, called “tower dumps,” to find Peckham was in the area of Christensen’s house at the time of the shooting.
He also reportedly told witnesses who picked him up from Christensen’s home that he had shot someone; those witnesses then told police.
A clear motive has yet to be determined for the shooting.
Peckham was ordered held without bail on Friday.
