A Bourne School Committee member whose social media comments about transgender people sparked controversy said she would not resign at a meeting on Wednesday.
Kari MacRae posted a video on TikTok earlier this year saying she was running to ensure students were not being taught that gender is a choice.
The Bourne Teachers' Union and the School District Superintendent are among those who want MacRae to step down.
The Enterprise reports a percentage of people who attended last night's meeting at the Bourne High School auditorium supported MacRae, with some carrying signs that said "All Opinions Matter."
