The president of the Center for Coastal Studies in Provincetown is stepping down at the end of the year.
The organization says Richard Delaney will transition to a senior adviser role in January.
Delaney held the position for 14 years.
The center for coastal studies says it developed an enhanced role with environmental managers and policy makers under his watch and also saw the full renovation of its marine lab.
Dr. Sarah Oktay will succeed Delaney.
She is coming from the Environmental Institute of the University of California.
