Elected officials broke ground Friday on Barnstable’s massive 30-year sewer reconstruction project.
Cape Cod State Senator Julian Cyr says the project helps solve what he says are the biggest challenges on Cape Cod: the wastewater issue itself and the climate crisis.
Crews will now begin phase 1 of the project, which will conducted in unison with the installation of electrical lines for Vineyard Wind in order to minimize costs.
