Provincetown Business Guild Fined For Mask Violation

The Provincetown Business Guild is being fined $300 dollars for a violation of the town's indoor mask mandate.

The Provincetown Banner reports unmasked partiers were seen at an event at town hall organized by the business guild during carnival week on August 19th.

Town Manager Alex Morse told the newspaper there was majority mask compliance at the event, and that there is no evidence that any gathering during Carnival Week caused an uptick in virus cases.

Provincetown's signature carnival parade was canceled for a second straight year.
