Tisbury Harbormaster Credited With Saving Unattended Boat

The Tisbury Harbormaster is being thanked for saving an unattended boat from sinking on Sunday morning during rainy and windy weather from tropical storm Henri.

The Martha’s Vineyard Times reports a 22-foot vessel was moored on Lake Tashmoo when it began taking on water.

Harbormaster John Crocker quickly responded and was able to find the source of the leak and plug it in time.

The owner sent a letter to the newspaper expressing appreciation for Crocker’s efforts.
