As the ransomware attack at the Steamship Authority continues, attorney general Maura Healey is urging the public and private sectors to take measures to protect themselves against these hacks.
Healey has issued an advisory to the business community and government agencies to immediately asses existing data security practices and upgrade them, if necessary.
This follows a memo from the Biden administration last week that discussed the threat ransomware poses to American businesses and government.
