Water Well In Chatham Shut Down Due To Contaminants

A water well in Chatham was recently shut down.

The Cape Cod Chronicle reports all of the town wells were tested in April and that PFAS contaminants were discovered at a high level in the well near the training field triangle park.

Town officials say Chatham’s drinking water is currently safe, but that the source of the contamination is unknown.
