Coronavirus Restrictions Ease In Massachusetts

Coronavirus data is trending in a good direction in Massachusetts.

There are now a little less than 30,000 active cases statewide, the lowest number in over five months.

Starting this Friday, Massachusetts is relaxing its outdoor mask mandate.

Face masks will only be required outside in public when it's not possible to socially distance. They may also be required for other reasons, including at outdoor events.

Face coverings will still be required in indoor public places, including stores.

Also, Massachusetts is moving to phase 4, step 2, of its economic re-opening plan.

On May 10th, venues like Fenway Park and TD Garden will be allowed to increase capacity from 12% to 25%.
