New England medical experts say it may be time to lift mask requirements when outdoors.
Brown university’s Dr. Ashish Jha says wearing masks indoors should still be required.
But since outdoor infections of Covid-19 are rare, and mostly tend to happen when large groups gather in packed spaces, it may be time to lift any outdoor mask requirements.
Dr. Paul Sax, Clinical Director of Infectious Diseases at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, agrees.
He says we know so much more now about how the virus is transmitted, and wearing masks outdoors just doesn’t make any sense.
