The historic Chatham Coast Guard boathouse is being repurposed.
The Cape Cod chronicle reports the Chatham Board of Selectmen voted unanimously Tuesday to use the boathouse for a shellfish upweller water nutrition system.
Town engineers estimate it would cost over 4.5-million dollars, with a marginally-lower price tag than if a new upweller building was constructed.
This would go up near stage harbor, where the boathouse originally stood.
