Cape Cod State Senator Julian Cyr has filed a bill to decriminalize all drugs.
The bill would replace criminal charges with a $50 fine.
The bill was introduced in the Senate Friday, along with a House version.
A companion bill filed in the house would establish a task force that could eventually lead to the legalization of psychedelic mushrooms and other substances.
