A medical malpractice tribunal is ruling that a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the estate of a Cape Cod woman who died by suicide at the Barnstable County Jail can move forward.
Jessica DiCesare of Centerville killed herself while in jail on charges of receiving stolen property, driving violations and drug possession in 2017.
The tribunal found there was enough evidence to raise liability questions with the psychiatric services company that was hired to handle mental health cases at the correctional facility.
