The town of Sandwich is seeking a very specific tenant to lease the former police station on Route 6A.
According to a report from the Enterprise, the town is soliciting bids for military family and veterans support programs, saying they would be consistent with adjacent land uses and could benefit the community.
The town says the use of the building for that purpose would be temporary and would be used to support veterans in Barnstable and Plymouth counties.
The police department moved out of the building in 2019.
