Provincetown Upholds Fine For Restaurant Violating Covid Guidelines

The Provincetown Health Board has upheld a $300 fine against a restaurant for violating Covid safety guidelines.

Megan Murphy, who, with her family, owns and operates Sal’s Place, says the business was fined after a code compliance officer stopped by the restaurant at around 10:00 p.m., the statewide Covid curfew at the time, and saw people still eating inside.

She says they’ve been providing the meals to keep their employees safe and fed during the pandemic.

With the state’s Covid curfew rescinded, Murphy says her family won’t be challenging the fine any further, but says the family staff meals are here to stay.
