There is such a big litter problem in Mashpee caused by those small nip bottles that the Selectmen will hold a public hearing next week on a measure that will ban the bottle outright.
There is a measure on Beacon Hill that is still being debated that would ban them statewide.
That is a measure filed by the retiring state rep Randy Hunt.
The Mashpee hearing is on Monday.
