This is the first day of the new restrictions that are being put in place because of the pandemic.
Crowds limited now to 50 people among other things and you must wear a mask.
And, police do have the power to fine --- something in Barnstable they will not be doing right away. It is all about education.
There will also be a crackdown to make sure that bars are offering food that is prepared on site.
