The State has raised the threat level of Triple E to high after officials say it was found in Carver in Plymouth County.
So far in the state 16 cases have been detected. No human or animal cases.
There were 12 cases in all of last season by comparison. The Triple E threat level on The Cape however is low.
In Yarmouth and Sandwich it is considered remote.
West Nile Virus threat level for the Cape and Islands is low.
