The Plimoth Plantation has changed its name to reflect its connection with the Wampanoag Indian Tribe.
It is now called “Plimoth Patuxet”. Patuxet in the tribal name for the area.
Leaders say that it is a start, long overdue and that there needs to be more down to recognize a “shared history.”
