A candidate for State Rep says that the Mass Teachers Association has it wrong.
Steven Xiarhos is the former Deputy Police Chief in Yarmouth. He says the Association calling for the removal of school resource officers out of the school system is “misguided.”
Xiarhos says he believes that he changed lives in the Yarmouth School system when he was a school resource officer.
Xiarhos is running for the Republican nomination for state rep against Tom Keyes.
The winner of the primary will challenge the Democrat James Dever in November.
Republican State Rep Randy Hunt is retiring from the legislature.
