West Yarmouth Man Accused In Machete Attack Will Stand Trial

A West Yarmouth man accused of killing one person and attacking another with a machete on the Appalachian Trail has been deemed competent to stand trial. 

A Virginia Judge made the decision after reviewing psychiatric records. 

Federal authorities have charged James Jordan with murder in connection with the incident in May of last year. 

He will be back in court on June 25th.
