Cape Cod Healthcare Workers Furloughed Due To Covid-19

The Pandemic is taking its toll on the healthcare industry. 

Cape Cod Healthcare officials announcing that it will furlough 10% of its workforce because of the Coronavirus. That's about 600 people in the system. 

The parent company facing an operating loss of more than 74 million dollars. 

Officials say all positions were affected with the exception of bedside nurses.

Meanwhile, the state has closed the hospital at Joint Base Cape Cod that was going to be used for overflow of patients. 

That hospital did not see any patient come in.
