The Cape Cod Baseball League's Brewster Whitecaps are sharing news that a former head coach and his family were victims in the same incident that killed Kobe Bryant and his daughter.
The team says former head coach John Altobelli, his wife Keri and daughter Alyssa died yesterday morning in the helicopter crash in California.
Altobelli coached the Whitecaps for three seasons from 2012 to 2014; his players included Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees, and New York Mets standout Jeff McNeil.
