Cape Cod District Attorney Michael O’Keefe’s Office says that they have dropped the charges against a 34 year old man accused of giving heroin to a woman who later died from an overdose.
James Willoughby was indicted on involuntary manslaughter charges.
In a statement -- the DA says all of the evidence did not support that the defendant knew or should have known the heroin could have been fatal.
DA’s routinely had been filing charges in similar cases until recent court rulings.
