State Auditor Meets With Town Clerks To Discuss Early Voting Bill

State Auditor Suzanne Bump has met with city and town clerks and voting rights advocated to review a bill that she says will provide a funding mechanism for early voting.

The Auditor is also working on what she called “technical reforms,” to make it easier and more effective.

The bill has just been filed and has not been sent to committee yet.

Bump says “early voting” is an unfunded mandate and expenses must be reimbursed.
