A Provincetown man who was well-known in the community and who had recently been featured in a Boston TV news program has died.
Frederico Rocha Jr.'s death was confirmed on Tuesday to the Provincetown Banner.
Rocha was a familiar face in P-town for decades but was evicted by his siblings from his parents' house off Commercial Street in 2018, which led to supporters starting a housing fundraiser.
WCVB-television's "Chronicle" program featured Rocha after the eviction, noting that supporters said Provincetown would lose part of it soul if he had to leave.
