Barnstable officials have not said whether they will continue to appeal. The Massachusetts Appeals Court has ruled that the town violated the law when it set up a parking overlay district.
The Appeals Court ruled that the town passed a measure for the district outside the time frame they should have.
The overlay district basically would allow a commercial parking lot as a matter of right.
Barnstable’s only remaining appeal would be before the State Supreme Court.
