The Air Unit of the Massachusetts State Police spotting what they called a large white shark at Newcomb Hollow Beach on the Wellfleet line with Truro yesterday afternoon.
A second shark spotted at South Beach in Edgartown. The Newcomb Hollow spotting significant. That was the spot of a fatal shark attack last year.
The beaches closed for about an hour each and then reopened.
