The Barnstable County Commissioners have heard a proposal today from a Boston company designed to lessen the threat to swimmers in potentially shark infested waters off the Cape. Acoustic Technology's is proposing a high powered audio system that when activated can be heard within a two mile radius. No action was taken by commissioners. The company will offer a pilot program to a town on The Cape that is interested. The company plans individual presentations to different communities.
