State Senate Gives Approval To Hands Free Driving Bill

The state Senate is giving its approval to a bill that bans the use of hand held electronic devices while driving.

The bill seeks to ban the use of all hand held devices, except when drivers tap a single button to enter hands free mode. Texting and driving was banned in Massachusetts in 2010.

The House previously passed a similar bill, and a conference committee will form to work out the differences.
