Carcasses Of Dead Whales Washing Ashore Becoming A Problem

A disturbing issue: what to do with the carcasses of dead humpback whales.

The issue coming about after a dead whale was found in the rocks in Cohassett and then towed out to sea, but the whale washed back to shore and was the problem for officials on Revere Beach. It was buried there.

Officials say some die from natural causes while others are hit by ships.

The Metropolitan Beaches Commission has the issue and they are still looking at options for towns with similar future issues.
