A presidential tweet has derailed a bill that would have helped pave the way for the Wampanoag Indian Tribe to build a casino on 321 acres of land in Mashpee and Taunton.
The basic problem centers on Senator Liz Warren supporting it.
The President’s tweet urged lawmakers to vote against it because it was nothing more than a Special Interest Group Casino.
Congressman Bill Keating was trying to shepherd the bill through the house this week but with the tweet and the pulling of the bill-that probably now won’t happen.
