A newspaper delivery vehicle went off the road early this morning, struck a fire hydrant, and flipped on its side.
The Dennis Fire Department report says the incident happened shortly after 5 a.m. in the area of 123 New Boston Road. First responders came upon a Toyota RAV4 with two people trapped inside the vehicle. The windshield had to be removed in order to extricate the two. A male and a female were treated at the scene then taken to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries deemed non-life threatening.
The Dennis Water District was notified to make repairs to the hydrant. Dennis police are investigating the cause of the crash.
