Community Development Partnership to Conduct Series of Marketing Workshops

Community Development Partnership news release:

The Community Development Partnership is partnering with SCORE Cape Cod to bring a 3 part Marketing Musts workshop series to small business owners on the Lower Cape. These sessions are designed to improve your marketing skills and further develop your brand. Every business needs to find new customers and keep in touch with their existing ones.

Our first workshop kicks off on March 5, with Marc Goldberg, Marketech Inc and SCORE mentor, who will present “Networking Like Your Business Depends On It… IT DOES”. To grow your business, you need to grow your network. This workshop will provide you with the practical tools that you can use to expand your sphere of influence and grow your business. Participants will leave this workshop with specific tools that they can use to plan, execute and follow up on their next networking opportunity.

On March 19, Jean Mojo, a SCORE mentor, will present the “Creating the Brand Called ‘____’. Building Your Business into a Relevant Brand.” If you don't have a clearly defined point of difference on which to build your brand, you will find it tough to succeed. This workshop will focus on how to identify and define the point of difference and then how to translate that into a brand statement. Participants will leave with the tools needed to create a differentiated brand positioning statement that will resonate with your target consumer.

The final workshop “Marketing – It’s More Than Advertising,” on April 2, will be presented by Marc Goldberg. Marketing is the part of your business that drives revenue. Covering the key introductory principles of marketing, the workshop will help you understand how to leverage your brand and integrate all aspects of marketing to get and keep customers. Participants will come away with the tools needed to set marketing objectives and tactical concepts that will help successfully execute against those objectives.

The Marketing Musts series will be held on March 5th, March 19th, and April 2nd at the CDP offices in Eastham. You can register for 1 or all 3 sessions.

Our series of Spring workshops for small businesses is being generously sponsored by the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod. The CDP’s Business and Credit Program is funded through Mass Growth Capital Corporation, USDA Rural Development Rural Business Development Grant, Cape Air, Cape Cod Five Charitable Foundation Trust, Santander Bank and Seamen’s Bank Long Point Charitable Foundation.

ABOUT THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP

The Community Development Partnership supports an array of programs that strengthen our Lower Cape community, providing greater opportunities for all who live here to thrive.

Our work starts with creating affordable homes—so essential to a healthy economy, but a real challenge in communities like ours where seasonal and vacation dynamics drive the market beyond the reach of many who live and work locally all year round.

We also work to launch entrepreneurs and strengthen local businesses. We believe a vibrant future depends on sustaining traditional industries and inspiring new ones—especially when they’re based on renewable natural resources such as fishing and farming.
