West Yarmouth Man Facing OUI-Liquor 3rd Offense

A West Yarmouth man is facing half-a-dozen charges, including a third OUI-liquor charge following his arrest early Sunday morning.

Yarmouth Police report that Daniel Hayden, 38, of Wisteria Rd was stopped around 2 a.m. Sunday morning after he was observed driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck erratically on Route 28.

Hayden initially gave Patrol Officer Ryan Golden a false name before revealing his true identity. He then failed a series of field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest and dtaken to YPD Headquarters. Once there, it was discovered that Hayden was out on parole due to previous OUI convictions. He refused to submit to a breathalyzer test and his license was immediately suspended. Bail was set at $5,000 and Hayden was taken Tuesday to Barnstable District Court where he was arraigned on OUI-Liquor, 3rd Offense, Operating a MV Negligently so as to Endanger, Marked Lanes Violation, MV Operator Refusing to Properly Identify himself, Operating a Motor Vehicle in Violation of License Class, and Operating a Motor Vehicle without an OUI Interlock Device.
