There will be a recount on the result of the vote for a new Dennis-Yarmouth middle school.
That vote on December 4th approved building the $117 million school by 32 votes but voters in Dennis and Yarmouth were at opposite ends of the vote.
Roughly 60% of Dennis voters were in favor of the new school while about 56% of Yarmouth voters were opposed.
The new school is planned for district-owned land on Station Avenue. It would replace the Mattacheese Middle School in West Yarmouth and Nathaniel H. Wixon School in South Dennis.
