An East Falmouth woman was arrested over the weekend following a State Police investigation into a stabbing.
It happened Saturday afternoon when Troopers from the State Police-Middleboro Barracks responded to 9-1-1 reports of an assault on the ramp of Route 24 North to I-495 North in Bridgewater.
Witnesses told the Troopers a Jeep Cherokee stopped on the ramp, two women got out and one woman, the 36-year old from East Falmouth, got back in the Jeep and left the scene, leaving a 32-year old female from Saugus on the side of the road, suffering from stab wounds to her leg. She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment.
The suspect was located and arrested at an inn in Foxboro. She is facing charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Assault and Battery on a Family or Household Member, 2nd offense. State Police continue investigating the incident.
