A Falmouth man is facing drug possession and distribution charges following a motor vehicle stop in Mashpee.
The Mashpee Police Department, on its Facebook page, report Officer Joseph Catanese stopped a vehicle on Route 151 for a traffic infraction. During the stop, a passenger in the car, Hayden Harding, exited the vehicle and took off on foot. He was apprehended after a short foot pursuit and placed under arrest. Harding is known to Mashpee Police and is currently on probation for drug distribution charges.
A search of the vehicle uncovered 290 Xanax capsules, 9 grams of heroin, and more than $860 in cash. Harding is being charged with Possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance and possession with intent to distribute a Class E substance.
