The Wellfleet Police Department has a warning for people leaving their vehicles unattended at remote beach parking lots. Be aware there have been a number of such vehicles broken into of late.
On its Facebook Page, the department says it is investigating vehicle break-ins at the parking lot of the White Cedar Swamp Trail on November 6 and Marconi Beach parking lots on November 7. One incident occurred during the day and the other at night.
Wellfleet Police urge citizens to stay aware of their surroundings while parked at beach lots and to not leave valuables visible.
