The new Town of Barnstable Dog Park is open. The dog park is located on Phinney’s Lane in the vicinity of Hathaway’s Pond. The official ribbon cutting will be held Wednesday, October 31, at 3:00 PM.
The park is the result of funding from the Stanton Foundation for the design and construction of the dog park, plus contributions and provisions for maintenance from the Friends of Barnstable Dog Parks.
The Stanton Foundation, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, encourages positive dog/human relationships and provides grants to support the creation of enclosed dog parks in cities and towns in Massachusetts.
Town Manager Mark Ells will hold a Public Hearing for the Dog Park Regulations on Thursday, October 25th at 10:00 AM at Barnstable Town Hall in the Town Hall Hearing Room, 2nd Floor, 367 Main Street, Hyannis.
