A long-time member of the Hyannis Fire Department is set to retire.
The department says Captain Tom Kenney will retire today after 36 years, nine months and 19 days on the job.
The Hyannis Fire Department will host a retirement celebration, October 19 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m and residents are invited to stop by for coffee and share memories.
The celebration will take place at the new Hyannis Fire Department headquarters if it is completed by then; otherwise the old station will be used for the celebration.
