Thursday night’s community forum in Wellfleet on sharks and seals brought out hundreds of people.
The forum was prompted by the death of 26-year old Arthur Medici of Revere, the first shark attack victim in Massachusetts in more than eight decades. It was also the second shark attack off Cape waters this summer. A Scarsdale, New York man continues to recover from the bite wounds he suffered in August off Truro.
The theme from most who spoke was similar; do something to reduce the population of sharks and seals, have better cell service on the outer cape, and better lines of communication with first responders.
