WHOI-Led Groups in Line for $220 Million Contract

The National Science Foundation is awarding a $220 million, 5-year contract to a coalition of research and academic organizations led by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.

The funds will be used to operate and maintain the Ocean Observatories Initiative, an advanced system of integrated, scientific platforms and sensors that measure biological, physical, geological, and chemical properties in both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
