Prince Albert II of Monaco was on Cape Cod Monday, paying a visit to the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole.
Albert’s visit was to announce financial backing from the Monaco Foundation for SeaBase, a new initiative at MBL that will study marine life genomes, using the information to better protect marine ecosystems.
Prince Albert II founded the Monaco Foundation in 2006 for the purpose of funding research, innovation, and initiatives to limit the impact of climate change.
